    What is a VET accredited course?

    A VET accredited course is training that is nationally recognised training that if completed successfully leads to an AQF qualification. A VET accredited course meets ASQA’s requirements and the Standards for VET Accredited Courses.

    What is the highest VET qualification?

    The highest VET qualification is a Graduate Diploma (i.e., AQF Level 8)

    What is the difference between Private RTO and TAFE?

    Although both organisations offer Nationally recognised training and accredited qualifications, Private RTO’s are run privately and independently whilst TAFE’s are run and operated by the Government. TAFE’s cover offer a broader range of areas to Train in whilst Private RTO’s usually concentrate on providing training in a more specialised area.

    What's the difference between a training package and an accredited course?

    A Training Package is developed to meet Australia’s need in certain industry areas, whereas an Accredited course is developed to fill in gaps that are not covered by Training Packages. Both are Nationally recognised.

    What does it mean for a course to be accredited?

    This means that a student can gain an AQF Qualification. An Accredited course has been assessed by ASQA or a state regulator and meets the Standards for VET Accredited Courses 2021 and the AQF.
